How many people associate “kebab” with being dirty food / fattening / unhealthy, etc? l’ve fancied a kebab for *ages* - but rather than reach the mandatory level of drunkenness required to seek out one of those vans (with some huge unknown roll of alleged “meat” that’s been reheated 12 times this week), I decided to make my own at home. The only ingredients in this photo, are fresh, high quality lamb mince with seasoning, lots of salad to your taste, and pita bread. The *only* marginally unhealthy element is the dollop of mayonnaise and chilli sauce. It tastes far nicer than anything ever bought on a night out. It also costs less than £2 a head, takes 7 mins to prepare before going in the slow cooker, and 2 minutes to serve up at a time of your choosing. It’s also cooked in such a way that the “meat roll” is elevated, so all of the animal fats drain away from the food. If you want the recipe comment below.
